Good morning evening, kids. Hope you all survived the weekend- and geared up for Snowpacaggedon 2019.

Calm. The. Fuck. Down.
Besides, the worst of it will be this weekend- when there's an extra seventy-something thousand people in downtown Atlanta. Yet another reason to be glad I live in the 'burbs.

Well, if it wasn't odd enough that Roy Orbison's hologram went on a world tour, a recording of the late rocker's "gig" with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was released as a "live" album last November.
Unchained Melodies: Roy Orbison with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has now reached gold status, and the Orbison estate is giving away three gold copies of the set, plus a tee-shirt and other prizes through its web site. You can enter here.

So, if you're one of the people who cares, it's Maroon 5 that'll be performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl this weekend. Not sure why the NFL didn't select a more regional group, considering the huge influence Georgia has had on music history, but whatever- I couldn't care less about the game, the commercials, or the halftime show. Prince was, is, and always will be the best Super Bowl halftime show ever.
