#WhatsHappening for October 9, 2018

Maybe it's just me, but the worst sound in the world has to be the alarm waking me from rare, nighttime sinus medicine induced sleep.
Except for Adele. And Limp Bizkit.

I tell ya, it's been tough (for me) to bring you folks anything I find interesting- what with pretty much every other freaking article I see on the music sites being about A Star Is Born.
I've said this before- I just can't get all that excited about a remake. Of a remake. Of a remake. That's right- it's the fourth time the movie has been made. Unless Bradley Cooper busts into full on Rocket Raccoon mode, I'm not interested (and even then, nope).

At least 12 people were injured during a Lil Wayne concert at the A3C Festival when concert goers reacted to a "shots fired" warning from the crowd.
Witnesses say the incident occurred just five songs into the rapper’s set as attendees tried to flee the scene. APD says they were "unable to locate any evidence to support claims that shots were fired" and that most of the injuries were minor.
In a statement released late Sunday night, festival organizers said the incident sprung from "an altercation... that ended Lil Wayne’s performance. This was a very unfortunate way to end what had been an otherwise amazing week of music, friendships and connections."
The performance ended early due to the incident.

The New Kids on the Block are teaming up with Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Salt-N-Pepa, and Naughty By Nature for what has to be one of the most bizarre 80s nostalgia tours ever.
Donnie Wahlberg says the tour will be filled with "fun, happiness, emotions, tears, joy, love, most of all."
The band also confirmed that their second album, Hangin’ Tough, would get a special anniversary re-issue in early 2019 that would include new, unreleased music.
The 53 city tour will kick off May 2nd in Cincinnati.

Seriously, James Corden's Carpool Karaoke may be a viral sensation- but Craig Ferguson's version of the Late Late Show was the best version of any late night show since The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. (Also, Corden seems like a tool.)

Speaking of late night shows, Fox is evidently looking to enter the fray again, teaming up with Nick Cannon and Talking Dead executive producer Michael Davies for a weekly series. The project will be hosted by Cannon and cover pop culture- featuring celebrity interviews, music performances and stand-up comics.
So, basically it'll be exactly the same as every other late night show.
