#WhatsHappening for April 28, 2019

So far, I've managed to get all the way through Sunday afternoon without any Endgame spoilers. That'd better hold up until I get to see it this week.
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫
I know I've written/bitched about this before, but it seems to have come up quite frequently lately: Though I know it seems to be the exact opposite- I will, in general, give a lot of latitude to the folks who join us on Saturday nights. But there are boundaries:
  • I don't let people get away with racist bullshit. Any racist bullshit. It's why I've culled the song listings to their current form
  • That same principle applies to any other bigoted bullshit you try to pull- be it based on religion, education, sexual orientation, whatever.
First, I will straight up cut you off- and probably heckle you over the PA so everyone on the premises is aware of what an asshole you are. I will also, more than likely, ask the manager on duty to have you removed from the premises.
Do I care that you're a paying customer? Well, yes. And no.
Yes, in that I'd prefer customers have a good time. But 100% no when it comes to bullshit like mentioned above.
I'm also not a fan of arguing- but there sure seem to be some folks coming out of the freaking woodwork to challenge that. I will almost always be professional to patrons who approach me- but that stance will change tout de suite should you decide to be antagonistic.
You see, you may think that I'm being unreasonable when I tell you to put down your drink before you perform- but I've seen far too many spills.
You may think that it's unreasonable that you don't get to sing immediately- but there are almost always people who are patiently waiting their turn.
You may think that it's unreasonable that I won't let you sing "just one more" song after I've given the "last call" for song slips- but making an exception for you means having to make an exception for everyone.
You may think it's unreasonable when I finally get tired of your arguing with me and I finally say "I don't care"- but that's just how much you've managed to piss me off, so you're lucky that "I don't care" is all I say, other than "okay, thanks. Have a nice night."
And- once it gets to that point... well... just because you're a "paying customer" does not give you the right to berate me or anyone else from Southpaw Entertainment, any more than it gives you the right to play grab-ass or otherwise harass the serving staff. And I'm not putting up with it any more than they will. When it gets to that point, you can pretty much count on my asking management to have you escorted from the premises, and that they suggest you not return.

Hope you all have a good rest of the weekend.
