#WhatsHappening for November 4, 2018

Good Sunday morning, my friends. Hope you all survived the time change. And for the first person who asks if I enjoyed the extra hour's sleep... you win a free punch in the forehead.
I wake up at the same time pretty much every day, regardless of what the clock says, or what time I went to sleep.

So, semi-amusing story... I am pretty much always willing to pursue picking up new selections for karaoke, but people have to suggest songs/artists to me since I don't really follow much current music since the monthly disc service I used to use went out of business (and took my newly renewed subscription fee with 'em). Anyway, one of my folks asked me about picking up the ballad version of a song, and I took a look. No luck.
He mentioned that he'd been at another show and the host there had access to the song, so I suggested he check what manufacturer the disc was from if he could and I'd check again, so he did and I took another look. Found it, bought it, and Amazon delivered it Friday. I listened to the song and thought "huh, sounds just like the other version I have" but what do I know?
Last night when he came in, I was happy to let him know I'd found the disc and he could do the song if he was inclined. His turn came around, he came up, I started the song.
And it was the wrong fucking song. Despite the fact that I'd written down the fucking name of the song, I'd bought the wrong one.
Well, it's never really been a secret that I'm an idiot. We'll see if I get it right this time- I've ordered the one he actually asked for. I checked, double checked, and triple checked.

Speaking of the film, it's projected to make $50 million during its opening weekend (final numbers are released on Monday), which would make it the second-best debut for a musical biopic behind Straight Outta Compton.
