Happy hump day, homeys. Hope the week's treating you well.

Reprise Records announced they're releasing a career-spanning retrospective of the late Tom Petty's work. An American Treasure will be released on September 28 and contain previously unreleased recordings, alternate versions of classic songs, rarities, historic live performances and other tracks and marks the first release of Petty's music since his death last October.
Reprise reps also said there'd be singles from the box set released, with Keep A Little Soul being the first. The song was recorded during 1982's Long After Dark sessions.
The 60 song set was curated by Petty's Heartbreakers band mates, as well as his daughter, Adria, and his wife, Dana.
"Everyone involved in this project chose each track with tremendous care and deep respect for the body of work Tom Petty created over the course of 40 years," Adria and Dana said in a statement. "He also accumulated a wealth of unreleased music in his vaults, and we have collectively uncovered one gem after another that will keep us all listening and discovering new facets of Tom’s talent for many years to come. We can’t wait to share with Tom’s fans this musical portrait of an artist who deeply affected our culture and indelibly touched the lives of fans the world over."
A vinyl edition of the set will be released November 23.
Annapolis mayor Gavin Buckley announced this afternoon that the city would host the Annapolis Rising: A Benefit for The Capital Gazette and Free Press later this month. The July 28 concert will honor the five Capital Gazette employees killed in an attack in their newsroom, with proceeds going to a fund established for the survivors, as well as journalism scholarships. Good Charlotte will headline the show.
Good Charlotte's Joel Madden told the Associated Press "I feel everything starts at home, it starts in your community and this is the place in Maryland that we come from. This is the place we go back to. We feel very, very deeply connected to Annapolis and it’s a very important place to us. It’s very important for us to show up for the city."
"If we can help support an event that will be uplifting for the families of the victims and the tragedy as a whole, it feels really important to be a part of that," Benji Madden added. "It feels really special to us. It’s rare to find that kind of community."
Bruno Mars was forced to leave the stage during his show in Glasgow last night when a fire broke out on the stage.
The Glasgow Green show was said to be running smoothly when a pyrotechnics incident caused a small fire in a lighting rig. Crews put the fire out and had the singer back on stage in less than 10 minutes.
Video screens on both sides of the stage kept fans in touch with what happened to cause the stoppage.
A spokesperson for the show said the incident involved "one of the stage lights" and credited "the quick thinking of our stage team who assessed the situation, this incident was quickly responded to, allowing the show to continue safely."
Birthdays today include: Alessia Cara (22); Lil' Kim (43); Scott Shriner of Weezer (53); Richie Sambora (59); Suzanne Vega (1959); Bonnie Pointer of the Pointer Sisters (68); and Jeff Hana of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (71). #MusicalBirthdays
