#WhatsHappening for November 5, 2017

Good Sunday afternoon, boys and girls. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Pretty sure that's called an "oh shit" look.
I think I forgot to mention that it's been announced that Justin Timberlake will be performing during the Super Bowl halftime show- fourteen years after the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" incident with Janet Jackson in 2004.
Color me as unimpressed as ever. Then again, I think the last Super Bowl halftime performance I actually enjoyed was Prince's.

The LA Weekly says Morrissey's shows at the Hollywood Bowl next week will be 100% vegan- the venue's first attempt at such a move. Falafel burgers and potato tacos will be served as options to their normal fare.
I mean, I love sushi- but I'm not gonna expect everyone to eat it just because I do.
Then again, Morrissey always struck me as a pretentious douche, anyway- and vegans have a rep for being... pushy.

Despite the fact that the album won't be released until this Friday, Taylor Swift's Reputation has already sold over 400,000 copies.
That amount nearly doubles the amount of pre-sales for he 1989- which was one of the fastest selling albums in a decade. Sales have been boosted by four already-released singles, including Call It What You Want- which came out last Friday.

U2, who'll hit the road for their Experience + Innocence tour next May, will be the first band to make full use of Ticketmaster’s "Verified Fan" platform.
Tickets for shows in the North America will go on sale November 20, and the band is asking their fans to sign up before November 18 to buy tickets. Members of the band's fan club, who can buy tickets beginning on the 14th, are already signed up for the program.
Ticketmaster says sales through the platform help reduce the opportunity of secondary ticket selling and Arthur Fogel of Live Nation says that U2's use of the system is in response to fan complaints about "brokers and bots scooping up a fair amount of tickets."

Do we really need a live action remake of The Lion King?

Birthdays today include:  Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers  (30); Ryan Adams (43); Jon Greenwood of Radiohead (46); David Bryson of Counting Crows (56); Bryan Adams (58); Mike Score of A Flock Of Seagulls (60); Don McDougall of the Guess Who (69); Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits (70); and Art Garfunkel (76). #MusicalBirthdays
