#WhatsHappening for July 11, 2019

So, I forgot to mention last time around that Saturday Night Karaoke last week went much more calmly than the week before. Which is a good thing.

Any of you guys have cats? Starting with my dear departed meanie, Cat, I've had them in the house for about 15 years now. And they only seem to want to sit close when it's hot. What does that have to do with music or karaoke?
Not a damned thing. I'm just saying.

What else am I just saying? Well, ever have to do a meeting or whatever at work where you're forced to pretend you can stand being in the same room with certain coworkers who you'd refrain from pissing on if they were on fire?
Or is that just me?

Misfits' fans, rejoice- the band is reuniting again for what they're calling a "hometown Halloween show" at Madison Square Garden on October 19th.
Rancid and The Damned will open the show. Tickets go on sale Tuesday.

Patti LaBelle was on hand in Philadelphia last week as her home town renamed a stretch of Broad Street "Patti LaBelle Way" in honor of the singer. If you're in the "City of Brotherly Love," you'll find the thoroughfare between Locust and Spruce Streets.

Personally, I'd be a lot more pumped for "Shark Week" if Discovery hadn't turned into a 24-7 attention whore network.

Ever watch this Strange Evidence show? I'm trying to figure out what the evidence is? Is it supposed to be how stupid/gullible people are?

Metallica is releasing a children's book. Yep- you read that right.
The ABCs of Metallica will hit your favorite book seller's shelves on November 26- just in time for Christmas- and feature illustrations from graffiti-est Michael "Kaves" McLeer while chronicling the band's history. A portion of the sales will benefit the band's All Within My Hands Foundation, which works to fight hunger and support workforce education.

For absolutely no reason at all, here's Olivia Newton-John's Physical video.
