Garth Brooks says Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton is the reason behind his adding a second Minneapolis show.
Brooks told reporters during a conference call today that his upcoming stadium tour will be "all about one special night" but, when the 50,000 available tickets for his May 4 show at US Bank Stadium, Dayton took to Twitter to ask for a second show, and that was enough for Brooks to relax his one-night-only rule.
The second show will be May 3.

Shawn Mendes celebrated his two Grammy nominations by selling out his first-ever stadium show just minutes after tickets went on sale.
The September show at Rogers Centre in Toronto will also mark his first time headlining a concert in his hometown- and is his biggest booked show to date. The concert will be the final stop on the North American leg of Mendes' 2019 global tour.
Mendes said it "was a dream come true to play the Rogers Centre in my home town. And now to have sold it out is just incredible and something I could have only ever imagined."

Legendary studio bassist Joe Osborn of the "Wrecking Crew" has died.
Denny Tedesco, who directed a documentary about the players back in 2008, confirmed the news on Facebook Saturday, posting "I'm sorry to tell you that we’ve lost another friend yesterday. Joe Osborn has passed. When I started this documentary, it was very difficult to get to all the players around the country. But there was no way I was not going to make the trip out to meet Joe. I flew to Shreveport where he was playing with Johnny Rivers and James Burton. He made sure he found time for me to do that interview which was so important to the history of the Wrecking Crew. Over the years, he was always there when we needed him for a concert or screening. Even though he was a quiet man, I could see the sparkle in his eyes when he saw the love of his fans. I called him a gentle bear. He made his impact in Rock and Roll and Country... He will truly be missed but not forgotten."
Rolling Stone reported that Osborn had been suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Osborn and his Wrecking Crew band mates played on such classics as Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water, the Mamas & the Papas' California Dreamin', America's Ventura Highway, the Carpenters' Close to You, the Partridge Family's I Think I Love You, as well as working with Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard, Reba McEntire, Ricky Nelson, The Grass Roots, The 5th Dimension, Johnny Rivers, Neil Diamond, Hank Williams Jr., Chet Atkins, and Mel Tillis.
