#WhatsHappening for September 26, 2017

Hey kids- what's up? Hope you're all doing good so far. Me? I'm already looking forward to the end of the week.

You know, I have zero desire to watch the "celebrities read mean Tweets about themselves" segment of Jimmy Kimmel. Then again, I have no desire to watch Jimmy Kimmel, either. Or is it Jimmy Fallon?
Whatever- I miss Craig Ferguson's late night insanity.

TLC postponed their month-long European tour that was scheduled to begin next month after T-Boz's injured her neck during their recent North American tour.
In a Facebook note to fans posted this morning, the duo confirmed that the tour- scheduled to kick off in Hamburg, Germany, on October 16 was being pushed due to T-Boz's "severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform at this time." She was advised by an orthopedic surgeon to postpone the tour.
"Chilli and I are very disappointed that we have been left with no choice but to postpone our debut European tour," the duo said in the statement. "We would like to thank our fans for staying so loyal and ensure them we will be back just as soon as we can reschedule."

Robert Plant is hitting the road next year with his Carry Fire tour in support of his album of the same name that debuts October 13. The first single from the album- Bluebirds Over The Mountain (with Chrissie Hynde)- was released today.
Twelve North American dates have been confirmed, with more dates to be announced.
Plant said he wants to tour in support of the new music because, while he may "respect and relish my past works but each time I feel the trawl and incentive to create new work. I must mix old with new. Consequently the whole impetus of the band has moved on its axis somewhat, the new sound and different space giving way to exciting and dramatic landscapes of mood, melody and instrumentation."

Meanwhile, Aerosmith has announced that they would be cancelling the last four stops of their South American tour due to Steven Tyler's sudden illness.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Tyler asked fans "not to worry…" as he is "not in a life threatening condition, but I need to deal with this right away, and get some rest and medical care immediately in order to sustain and maintain my future performances."
Doctors advised Tyler not to travel or perform, but he says he would "be back...unfortunately, health does not wait and it’s something even I can’t schedule around our shows."
The cancelled shows were in Curitiba, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Rosario, Argentina; and Monterrey, Mexico (though I'm not sure why they consider that one South America).

Birthdays today include: Christina Milian (36); Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men (45); Cindy Herron of En Vogue (52); Tracey Thorn of Everything But The Girl (55); Carlene Carter (62); Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos (63); Craig Chaquico of Jefferson Starship (63); Olivia Newton-John (69); and Bryan Ferry (72). #MusicalBirthdays
