Hey, hey- it's Saturday! Ready for some hot-cha-cha karaoke action tonight? Yeah, yeah- settle down. I'm not even set up yet (if you're reading this before noon). Here's #WhatsHappening:

Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver front man Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus early yesterday morning in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Police said a small amount of cocaine was found near Weiland's body and that they had taken Weiland's bassist, Tommy Black, into custody for possession of a controlled substance.
TMZ had reported earlier this week that Weiland, who had a history of substance abuse, had relapsed into crack cocaine usage and heavy drinking.

A unnamed source tells Billboard magazine that Eagles of Death Metal will join U2 on stage for their final song at Paris' AccorHotels Arena Sunday or Monday. The Paris cameo will include co-founder Josh Homme, who often does not tour with the band and was not present during last month's attack at the band's show.
The source also said Eagles of Death Metal would resume its halted European tour in Feb. 2016. A representative for the band they had no comment on the reports.

Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach have been auctioning a number of their personal belongings at Julien's auction house this month and the big prize is Ringo's mono copy of “The Beatles” (often incorrectly identified as “The White Album”).
So, what makes Ringo's copy such a prize? It's the original pressing- as in, it's # 0000001.
John, Paul, George and Ringo were each given one of the first four pressings of the double LP in the late '60s, and it was recently revealed that Starr got the first one, which he stored in a London vault for 35 years.
The top load sleeve is in near mint minus condition and would be near mint if not for the bumped upper right front gatefold corner, but it is overall very clean and fresh with very minor abrasions,” according to a description on Julien's website.
At last report, bidding was over $100,000 and on-going. Starr's drum kit from his Beatles' days sold earlier this week for over $2 million.

Birthdays today include: Glen Graham of Blind Melon; Johnny Rzeznik of Goo Goo Dolls; Jack Russell of Great White; Jim Messina; and Little Richard. #MusicalBirthdays
