TMZ reports that Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington was in a residence in Palos Verdes Estates, this morning.
An LA County Coroner confirmed the report and said the department was currently investigating the cause as an apparent suicide. No further details were available.
Bennington was 41.
In other headlines, a Nevada parole board has voted to release OJ Simpson from prison after he served nine years of his nine to 33 year sentence on his armed robbery conviction.
The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners cited Simpson's age and the fact that he has been a model prisoner as reasons for granting his release the first time he was eligible. He is set to be released in October.
