Just in case you didn't know, I sometimes DJ for events. Well, maybe DJ isn't quite right- I don't scratch or anything like that- I just play music.
Anyway, I'll be doing whatever you call that coming up on Sunday, March 20th at the Iron Horse Tavern during their Second Annual St. Baldrick's Fundraiser in honor of Michael Rue.
Come, hang out, enjoy some food (or your favorite adult beverage) and get your head shaved (or just donate) in support of children's cancer research.
(No shaved head for me- my head is weirdly shaped!)
The Rolling Stones are heading to Havana.
The band said in a statement today that they will play a free concert there on March 25- three days after President Barack Obama visits. The concert is expected to draw a massive audience in a country where the government once punished people for listening to rock music.
The statement added that the band has "performed in many special places during our long career but this show in Havana is going to be a landmark event for us, and, we hope, for all our friends in Cuba too."
Pabst Blue Ribbon’s Project Pabst is expanding to three new cities this year after two successful years in Portland, Oregon.
Shows this year will be added in Denver, Atlanta, and Philadelphia, the company announced today.
The Denver leg kicks things off on May 20 and 21 with sets from Courtney Barnett, the Violent Femmes, Big K.R.I.T., and more.
The Atlanta leg comes in October, but no acts have been announced.
