Iggy Pop and Josh Homme
from Queens of the Stone Age are hitting the road in support of their
new album, Post Pop Depression. The tour will play historic theaters
in North America and Europe through May, and kicks off begins March
28 in Seattle
A taping for PBS' Austin
City Limits is also in the works.
The duo performed on The
Late Show With Stephen Colbert on last week.
An Key West bar employee
has filed suit against Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter over an
altercation earlier this month.
The man accuses Carter of
battery in the lawsuit filed yesterday, and claims Carter struck and
punched him earlier this month at the Hog's Breath Saloon. The
lawsuit also says Carter and a friend were escorted out of the bar
because of unruly behavior and told not to return.
Carter previously pleaded
not guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge related to the incident
and was released on $1,500 bail. A judge also ordered Carter not to
return to the bar.
Vampire Weekend has broken
up. Kind of.
Rostam Batmanglij
announced via Twitter today that he is no longer a member of the band
he co-founded in 2006.
In his official statement,
Rostam says he plans to continue collaborating with Vampire Weekend
frontman Ezra Koenig on “future tracks” and “future Vampire
Weekend songs,” though he will mainly pursue solo efforts.
